Except I never do memes, but this seemed stress-free and fun.

Post a sentence (or paragraph) or two from as many of your WIPs as you want, with no explanation attached.

The following is an excerpt from Interview with a Demon: The Life and Continuing Exploits of Bartimaeus of Uruk (N'gorso the Mighty, the Serpent of the Silver Plumes, Long-Jawed Guardian of the Iroquois). (It was later republished under a different name as the word "demon" became increasingly regarded as pejorative.) Bartimaeus, while possessed of a remarkable wit and history, was also an inveterate teller of tales, cleverly finding ways to inflate his own role in events even when, it appeared, directly commanded to tell the truth. There are few interviews which historians can even remotely take as fact--and all of them occurred when one Kathleen Jones could be persuaded to take part. One such interview touches on the Spirit Revolution of 2007...

From the small blue and white planet the radio transmission had traveled far and farther into space, deeper into the universe than any Earth probe had gone before, all the way into the very heart of intergalactic territory where two amateur HAM radio operators were turning up the volume on their small radio set, which they had received from a catalog in the back of Primitive Communications Fancy.

The transmission crackled with the distance of 71.68309 light-years.

There are two from my Bleach WIP because it is super long.

Orihime starts at her approach like a nervous animal. "Rukia. What are you doing here? Are you better?" Her voice is ragged from lack of sleep.

"Yes, much," Rukia replies. "But--Inoue, what are you doing? You're overreaching yourself. You can't keep this up."

"I can," she says, and there is iron in her voice, brittle and black.

Isshin Shiba had looked at him--and Toshiro had felt his gaze like a warm hand on his shoulder, like the pride in his captain's voice, like the emptiness in his chest when he disappeared. Why? He asked it then, and he asks himself now. Why, why, why?

Toshiro looks at his men and thinks: I will never betray them.

Actually that was super stressful, because now I remember how many WIPs I have. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
